A biotic factor (living organism) would be a plant and a abiotic factor (non living organism) would be the carpet and how they affect eachother is by the plant spilling soil on the carpet which now messes up the carpet and causes it to be dirty.

Abiotic things are non-living components of an ecosystem, such as sunlight, water, and soil. Biotic things are living components, including plants, animals, and microorganisms that interact with each other and the abiotic environment. Together, abiotic and biotic factors determine the health and functioning of ecosystems.

What are the two types of factors that an ecosystem has?

An ecosystem has biotic factors, which include living organisms like plants and animals, and abiotic factors, which include non-living elements like sunlight, water, and soil. These factors interact with each other to maintain the balance and functioning of the ecosystem.

What is the difference between abiotic and biotic factors?

Abiotic factors are non-living components of an ecosystem, such as temperature, sunlight, soil, and water, while biotic factors are living organisms within an ecosystem, like plants, animals, fungi, and bacteria. Biotic factors interact with each other and with abiotic factors to form a complex ecological system.

Is a chair a biotic or an abiotic factor?

A chair is an abiotic factor because it is a non-living object. Biotic factors are living organisms or products of living organisms that can affect an ecosystem.

Is rubber biotic or abiotic?

Rubber is considered a biotic material because it is derived from natural sources like latex obtained from rubber trees. It is a natural polymer produced by certain plants.

What is the difference between abiotic and biotic decomposition?

Abiotic decomposition refers to the breakdown of organic matter by physical or chemical processes, such as weathering or erosion, without the involvement of living organisms. In contrast, biotic decomposition involves the breakdown of organic matter by decomposer organisms, like bacteria and fungi, which consume and break down the material into simpler compounds.

How do abiotic and biotic things interact in their environment?

Biotic factors are living things and abiotic factors are non-living things. They interact in that living things depend on non-living things to survive. One example of them interacting is when the sun (abiotic) helps make foods for the plants (biotic).

How do biotic and biotic things work together in the rain forest?

Abiotic are non living things in the ecosystem, first of all. Biotic are the living things in the ecosystem. Biotic and Abiotic things work together. For example: abiotic things can be the air, light, shelter, etc. biotic things can be animals, reptiles, plants, humans, etc. Lets take us for example. We are biotic, right? So, we depend on abiotic things. Can we live without shelter, air, or light? We need those and they need us. We give the ecosystems carbon dioxide and we build homes. Biotic things also build homes from abiotic things. For example: Some birds use sticks and other abiotic objects to build a shelter to live. Abiotic things gives birds sticks and trees grown from EARTH for biotic things to live in. :) Hope I helped you. :)
