Once the food has reached the stomach and is worked on by enzymes to break them down into absorbable forms of proteins and carbohydrates and other nutrients the 'food' is now passed into the small intestine from where it is absorbed accross the small intestine lining through the cells into the blood and taken round the body. On its way round the body, the nutrients in the blood are absorbed into the places where they are needed.

To sum this up, the body absorbs the nutrients into the blood through capillaries in the intestines.

The process of digestion breaks down food into nutrients that the body can absorb. This involves the mechanical and chemical breakdown of food in the mouth, stomach, and small intestine, with help from enzymes and stomach acid. Nutrients are then absorbed into the bloodstream to be used by the body for energy and other functions.

Organ system that breaks down food and absorb nutrients?

The digestive system is responsible for breaking down food into smaller molecules that can be absorbed by the body. This process occurs in the stomach and intestines, where nutrients are absorbed into the bloodstream for use by the body.

When a bone breaks what carry the food into the bone?

Blood vessels supply the bone with nutrients and carry food and oxygen to the bone cells. When a bone breaks, blood vessels at the site of the fracture help in the healing process by delivering the necessary nutrients for bone repair.

What is the job for the digestive system?

The job of the digestive system is to break down food into nutrients that the body can absorb and use for energy, growth, and repair. This process involves the mechanical and chemical digestion of food in the mouth, stomach, and small intestine, followed by the absorption of nutrients into the bloodstream and the elimination of waste products.

What the meaning of digistion?

Digestion is the process by which your body breaks down food into smaller molecules that can be absorbed into the bloodstream and used by cells for energy and nutrients. It involves multiple organs, including the stomach, small intestine, and liver, as well as enzymes and bacteria that help in the breakdown and absorption of nutrients.

What is assimilation of food nutrients in the human body?

Assimilation of food nutrients in the human body refers to the process where the body absorbs and utilizes the nutrients from food for various physiological functions. It involves the breakdown of food into smaller molecules, absorption of these molecules in the intestines, and their transport to cells where they are used for energy production, growth, and repair. Nutrients such as carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, and minerals are assimilated to support overall health and well-being.
