The predators include cheetahs and lions. Cheetahs trade power for speed, which makes them very fragile. Rhinos also find home in this biome. Because of poor eyesight, they often charge at the slightest sound of danger. This makes them very dangerous. Giraffes also live here. Their tongues help them eat. It is an even-toed ungulate mammal and also the tallest of all living land animals. African elephants are found only in Africa. They are in danger of extinction, due to the fact that hunters poah them for their ivory tusks. Matriarch elephants, the oldest female in the herd, are fiercely protective, especially with the young elephants. Hyenas can be found here too. They are predators that resemble wolves, but are actually more related to mongooses. Their front legs are longer than their backlegs, which gives them a bear-like gait.
