Energy is stored in many ways. Energy is stored in food. We eat the food to get energy. Energy can also be stored in other ways, such as batteries.

Sources of stored energy take many forms like food, fuel and batteries. All energy on the Earth comes from the Sun.

Heat from the sun warms everything on the Earth. Light and heat are forms of energy, which come directly from the Sun. Plants, use the energy from sunlight to make food. Energy from the sun is stored in leaves, stems, roots and fruits. When an animal eats plants it gets the energy stored inside the plant.

Animals eat plants and get the energy stored in plant tissues. They utilize this energy for various activities like running, climbing, hunting and keeping warm. Food we eat contains energy to power our bodies.

Fuels such as oil and coal contain huge amounts of energy. Energy released from these fuels, wind and water can be changed into electricity. Energy is needed for almost all activities that make up our lives.

Can thermal energy be stored in food?

No. In general, there is no way to store heat energy (thermal energy) long-term.

When wood burns heat energy is released where had this heat energy been stored?

The heat energy is not stored, its created by a chemical reaction.

What energy is stored in foods?

The type of energy that is stored in food is called chemical potential energy.. This energy is stored until it is ready to be used.

What forms of energy is observed in a barbecue?

In a barbecue, the primary forms of energy observed are thermal energy (heat) from burning charcoal or gas, radiant energy as heat is transferred from the grill to the food, and chemical energy as food cooks and releases energy stored in its molecules.

What release energy stored in food?

The mitochondria releases energy stored in food which is in cells.

Is kilocalories heat content of food or energy content of food?

It could be either; but when you are talking about food, what is of interest is usually the energy content - meaning, chemical energy stored in the food. Heat IS energy, and a kilocalorie is the energy required to heat one kilogram of water by one degree Celsius.

When cells breakdown food molecules what happens to energy?

released entirely as body heat into the environment.

What cell's organelles release energy stored in food?

Mitochondria release the energy stored in food.

Which of cells organelles releases energy stored in food?

Mitochrondria releases energy stored in food.

Chemical energy is energy that is?

stored within the bonds of chemical compounds, and can be released through chemical reactions. This energy is commonly found in fuels, food, and batteries. When these chemicals react, the stored energy is converted into other forms such as heat or mechanical work.

Can chemical energy be stored in gasoline?

Yes, gasoline is a form of chemical energy that can be stored and used as a fuel source for vehicles and other machinery. When gasoline is burned, it releases energy in the form of heat and kinetic energy that can power engines.

What does chemical energy store mean?

Chemical energy storage refers to the potential energy stored within the chemical bonds of molecules. This stored energy can be released through chemical reactions, such as combustion, to produce heat and do work. Examples include the energy stored in gasoline, food, and batteries.
