Soda is hypertonic, but it all depends what you are comparing it to. As long as the other solution you are using in the semi-permiable membrane has a lower number of solute particles than soda it is still Hypertonic.

∙ 11y agoYes, soda is typically hypertonic because it contains a high concentration of sugar and dissolved substances compared to the body's cells. Drinking hypertonic beverages like soda can cause dehydration because they draw water out of cells into the bloodstream to balance the concentration of solutes.

∙ 9y agoHypertonic solution is one which has higher osmotic concentration and solvent concentration as compared to another solution. Isotonic solution is a solution that has same concentration, osmotic as well as solvent, as that of another solution.

Cytosis, also known as cellular inflammation, can be caused by various factors such as infections, toxins, injury, or autoimmune reactions. It is the body's response to these stimuli, involving the activation of immune cells and the release of inflammatory mediators to help repair and protect tissues. Chronic cytosis can contribute to the development of diseases such as arthritis, atherosclerosis, and cancer.
Carrots in salt would be hypertonic. This is because the salt concentration outside the carrot cells is higher than inside the cells, causing water to move out of the cells, leading to dehydration and shrinkage of the carrots.
After participating in a long-distance race, the runner was advised to drink a hypertonic sports drink to replenish electrolytes and aid in muscle recovery.
