Wrap cable with hose around tree and stake to ground on a 45° angle. Use a long turnbuckle and a chain to periodically tighten. When turnbuckle runs out of adjustment, loosen all the way back out and take up slack with chain and start all over. Usually takes several years depending on size of tree and severity of lean. Use at least 1/4" cable and strong chain. Be sure to drive metal stake very deep in ground, 2-3 feet, and at opposite angle of tree lean. 1/4 x 2" angle iron works best.
