It all starts from the process of the three R's. Reduce, Re-use and Recycle. Natural Resources such as fresh water, trees, and animals have all been hugely affected because we haven't been contributing to conserving them at all.

Besides the three R's, some key points to conserving natural resources are;

1) Affective transportation modes

- carpooling, taking the bus (burns less fossil fuels/less pollution)

2) Don't litter.

- pollutants go into the ground and come up through precipitation into the atmosphere, one huge cause of the damage of the ozone layer.

- pollutants are also going into the fresh water systems affecting wildlife, animals and ourselves.

3) Less energy/water use

- turn off lights/products that produce electricity

- use less water ; shorter showers, don't leave taps running etc.

To conserve natural resources, it is important to reduce, reuse, and recycle materials to minimize waste. Additionally, adopting sustainable practices such as using energy-efficient appliances, decreasing water usage, and supporting sustainable agriculture can help protect natural resources for future generations. Lastly, raising awareness and promoting conservation efforts within communities and industries can further contribute to preserving our natural resources.

Why it is important to conserve resources?

Conserving resources is important to ensure their availability for future generations, to minimize environmental impacts such as deforestation and pollution, and to maintain a sustainable balance between human activity and the natural world. By conserving resources, we can help protect ecosystems, support biodiversity, and reduce our carbon footprint.

What are the differences between consumptive use and non consumptive use of natural resources?

Consumptive use involves the direct consumption or removal of natural resources, such as hunting or logging, leading to the depletion of those resources. Non-consumptive use involves activities that do not directly consume or deplete natural resources, like wildlife viewing or photography, allowing the resources to remain in the ecosystem for continued use.
