The amount of times we wash our hair is not restricted to religion, in fact it's got NOTHING to do with it (directly). But the fact that we can't cut it somewhat has an impact.
So basically:
We can't cut our hair= Hair will grow very long (unless genetics effects it or something)= Hard to maintain, and it's be unhealthy to wash it everyday= Wash it about twice a week.
This is also completely up to the person, I wash it twice a week as it's not easy to take care of and I don't have the time to put all of the effort into it every day. Not everyone has the same hair length either, mine is very long (it goes to my upper thigh) but I have other Sikh friends whose hair reaches midway of their back, so it's a lot easier to take care it for them but it still isn't easy.
So yeah, it's up to the person but MOST people tend to wash it once or twice a week because long hair is hard to take care, and it is long because we can't cut it.
Sikhs are not meant to dye their hair.
Sikhs worship in a gurdwara. For more info web search it!
No, there are 13-19 million Jews and 21-25 million Sikhs
You will need to bleach/prelighten it. Because your hair is so dark though you will have to get it done twice or more so have a good think about it.
That's like stupid! Your hair cant be that short! you would have to be bald to be destracting! (sorry if you are) long hair is more destracting!
Sikhs are generally classified into three groups. This division in not based on their beliefs, practices, or worship. All Sikhs follows same ideas and teachings of their Gurus but the difference is in their Life Style. A Baptized Sikh is called Amrit Dhari Sikh, where Amrit Dhari is who has taken Nectar. A Sikh who keeps his/her hair but is not Baptized is called Kesh Dhari Sikh.(Hair Adopter) A Sikh who cuts hair and shave beard is called Sahaj Dhari Sikhs. (Slow Adopter). Not wearing turbans. They are all Sikhs and hold same views but depending on their devotion they follow their religion. please note, there is one more group which are called Nihang Sikhs, and same things apply here too. Same mode of worship, same idea but difference in life style.
You did somethig wrong , two things you needed to do,#1 wash your hair and wait 24hrs berfore bleaching, #2 wash your hair after you bleach at least twice to get the all the bleach out.your hair should be pale yellow and then apply the toner. you must leave the toner on more than 30min. to get the maximum effect , I leave it on more than 45min. its the toner that makes your hair white ,not the bleach. follow the directions on the box and you cant go wrong .
as long as u remove the first sets of griptapes. u cant layer it
twice so iif he gets one more he cant play anymore
Try getting a haircut with a lot of layers. Style it with a blow dryer and volumizing products including mousse and hairspray. Blow dry upside down to get even more lift. This should add a ton of body to your hair.
There is no one particular day in the week, which is better or more auspicious for Sikhs to go to the Gurdwara. Each day is treated exactly the same as any other. The majority of Sikhs will tend to go on a Sunday, merely due to convenience.
No not really, of course everytime you straighten your hair it does damage it a bit but so long as you use a protecting spray on your hair and wash it more than twice a week then you will be fine :)
