It's harder (more painful, and maybe riskier for some people) to get one's tongue pierced RIGHT SMACK DAB in the middle, rather than slightly off-center, so most people get it slightly off-center. If you want a tongue WEBBING piercing, you need to have a sufficiently webbed tongue (I did not; so sad). And, of course, if you were a hemophiliac, terrified of pain, or super-prone to infection or, I dunno, heart attacks in reaction to pain, then you might want to avoid a tongue piercing.
That would be the professional body piercers concern during your tongue piercing.
No, you can not see the third vein in your tongue. But, there are 2 main purplish, sublinqual veins you can see underneath your tongue. But consider all the taste buds you have as well.
I Recommend You Do NOT Even Think About Piercing This Your Self, This Piercing Especially Should Be Done By Professional ONLY. The Tongue Is A Very Important Muscle In Your Body, There Are 2 Main Vains Below Your Tongue, If Either Of These Are Hit This Will Cause You To Bleed Heavily And Possibly Become Paralised So Think Twice Before You Think Of Doing This.
Soup and porridge, mostly, until it heals. Stay away from anything with yeast, and avoid hard, tough things that require a lot of chewing. Sticky things are nasty too. You won't want to move your tongue, but recall that you use it to move food around your mouth. Ice cream is wonderful. Eat lots of that. Slushies are useful as well.
Arteries, veins, & capillaries are the three main veins while drawing blood in arm

The main product offered at Piercing Pagoda are earrings. Piercing Pagoda also offers body jewelry. The brick and mortar stores offer ear piercing services as well.
The main job of tongue is to produce saliva and secondly it is used for tasting food.
The jugular veins are the two main veins in the neck returning blood from the brain to the heart. Their arterial counterparts are the carotid arteries.
Not at all. The main "reason" to get this piercing other than personal adornment is sexual enhancement, and you won't find someone complaining about the added feel of a metallic stud against their highly personal nerve endings. The pain isn't horrible and the tongue also heals quite quickly.
As a professional piercer I would not pierce anyone who is on blood thinners, Warfrin commonly known as rat poision is also a medically prescribed blood thinner. The danger lies in the possibility of hitting one of several main veins in the tongue. Now a professional piercer will check for the presents of surface veins however this doesnt mean they can see the deeper veins inside the actual underlying tissue. The risk of heavy bleeding and the bodies ability to clot being suppressed by the Warfrin poses too great a risk. Side note: All piercing studios require full disclosure of medical concerns, failure to disclose the use of medications for the treatment of conditions, the failure to disclose conditions such as epileptic siezures, heart conditions, etc can put you at risk of serious injury and or death
