Adding Ardell Unred to 30 V. developer will not have any affect on the hair. Unred is made to be mixed with both hair color and developer, not developer alone.
If the red color is permanent, mix equal parts developer + color.
what is the bet developer for covering gray hair? My hair is dye 6-87 copper red
30
Using a 40 volume developer with packet hair dye meant for a lower volume developer can be very damaging to your hair. It is recommended to either choose a hair dye that is specifically formulated to work with a 40 volume developer or consult a professional stylist for advice on achieving the desired color while minimizing damage to your hair.
If the hair is naturally red, this color will only subtly lighten it. If the hair is artificially colored red, the Loreal box color will do nothing... as color doesn't lift color. You will need to use a lightener with 20 volume developer instead.
go to sallys or a beauty store near by and purchase a bottle of 30 volume developer cream and also some bleach powder and when you get home mix that put it on your hair for about 30 to 40 minutes then (make sure you've selected the right red color) proceed to wash this out and towel dry your hair and then proceed to covering your hair in red dye (believe me youll look attractive with the dye all over your forehead jkjk put vaseline around your hair line) then leave it on for 40 minutes wash it out and blow dry your hair...and bam red hair ....?
You can expect to get half to one shade of lift from a color booster. Boosters do not affect the color tone. Additionally, using a booster helps reduce the likelihood of red, red-orange and gold tonal qualities in blondes. Bleach lifts more color, so it is harsher. 10 volume developer is the weakest and 50 volume developer is the strongest. 10 volume is used to lighten lighter-colored hair. I would recommend using 20 volume for dark or black hair but sometimes 30 volume is used for a more noticeable effect. Dark hair will pass through several stages of color before reaching pale blond. The colors are red, orange, yellow and then pale blond. A strand test is highly recommended before you attempt to bleach your hair. This will accurately tell you how long the bleach needs to stay on to properly lighten your hair. You can get hair strands from your comb or brush.
The colour will not take, you need the developer to activate the colour. I disagree. I died my hair today with Feria Intense Auburn without any developer, and it is bright red and looks great. I have long hair, so I don't use the developer bottle and replace it with an equal amount of conditioner and leave it in longer. It will fade quicker, but won't damage my hair.
It depends on how dark your current color is and how light you want to go. Try using 30 volume. It's strong enough to do the job but won't kill your hair the same way a stronger developer would, as long as it's used properly. If you're hesitant, try seeing a stylist.
Any brand cream developer can be used with a color as long as it is mixed according to the manufacturer's directions and it is the appropriate volume.
Manic Panic color is meant to be used straight from the container. It is not to be mixed with a developer.
