The only kind of pantyhose that is acceptable with open toed shoes is the kind that ends at your ankle. These amount to something similar to leggings. Spanx (sold at most major department stores) makes a good pair of these pantyhose. What ever you do though, don't put a panty-hose clad foot into a strappy, open toed shoe. It will bunch and look tacky.
the general rule of thumb, when choosing between the color of the dress and the color of the shoes for the panty hose, is that the panty hose color should match the shoes, so i would go with gray nylons.
White
the denier or Kayser Platinum is the best
It isn't. Generally, wearing panty hose makes women appear more professional at work.

panty hose, socks, mini stockings they have stockings in most countries panty hose, socks, mini stockings they have stockings in most countries
That is a matter of personal choice but I'd imagine that as panty hose tend to have a central seem it might be more comfortable to wear them on top of underwear.
You will probably want to get the "natural" colored pantyhose because those will add a small amount of color without making it look completely fake, as it would if you went one color up and bought "tan" pantyhose. Another alternative is to wear outfits that look good with black panty hose because then it wont matter what color your skin tone is.
before you were born when your mom was a kid haha
Spanx panty hose "All the Way Up" brand is going going to be the best. Be sure to get the "all the way up" version because this will be your best bet for sliming everything. If you are wearing a dress you may also want to consider the slips made by SPANKS. Some of them even have build in bas. They do the same thing the Spanx pantyhose do, by sucking you in without putting you in pain, thus creating a great figure for the night.
