Can you take out a lip piercing after 1 week to clean it?
Why? You never remove the jewellery in a fresh piercing to clean it, you clean the piercing and jewellery in place while in the shower, that should be more than enough. You can do damage to the new tissue trying to form by removing the jewellery, your written aftercare instructions should out line how to care for your new piercing.
Will a piercing scar if you have only had it three months?
As long as there is jewellery in the piercing the piercing will not scar, it will form new tissue that makes up the piercing. If the jewellery is removed before the piercing is allowed to heal completely this tissue will join together and form scar tissue.
Should you worry if the hole around your tongue piercing gets larger?
If the piercing is an older seasoned piercing and the hole looks like it's enlarging, this could be due to a recent jewellery change. Not all body jewellery is good jewellery. There is a lot of cheap junk on the market that claims to be quality and is in fact junk. Enlargement of a piercing is generally a sign of an allergic reaction to the metals the barbell is made of (generally a high nickle content). Remove the jewellery and replace it with jewellery you have used before and have had no issues with. Observe the piercing over the next week and see if the enlargement has reverted to normal. If you see a change then clearly the jewellery was the issue.
Is it normal for your tongue to be itchy after getting it pierced?
No itchy is a sign of an allergic reaction, this could be due to the quality or lack of it in the jewellery in your tongue piercing.
Can pus be clear?
Clear fluid from a piercing is a sign of an allergic reaction, generally due to the cleaning agent being used to heal the piercing. Stop using this product and flush the piercing under running water while moving the jewellery. This will flush the piercing out and the clear discharge will stop.
It's been about a year is it okay to take out your nose ring until you get a new one?
Yes you can however replacing the jewellery may be more difficult if jewellery has been left out for and extended period of time. If you have issues replacing the jewellery into the piercing go see your local professional body piercer who can use an insertion taper to place the jewellery in the piercing without damaging the piercing.
How can you tell if your navel piercing is starting to scar?
If your jewellery is starting to look too long for the piercing the piercing is migrating and will open up at some point and drop the jewellery out.
After lip ring heals can it close up?
Like any hole in the body that wasn't there by design the piercing will close if jewellery is not kept in the piercing. The speed at which the piercing closes will be dictated by the period of time the jewellery has been kept in the piercing, the longer jewellery is worn the longer it will take for the piercing to close up.
What will happen if i take out my industrial piercing a few days after you pierced it?
Well simply put the piercing will close, any time you get a piercing and remove the jewellery a few days after the piercing has been done the body will attempt to repair the damamge by closing the piercing. Jewellery should not be removed for any reason other than to get rid of the piercing, once the jewellery is out and then reinserted at a later date, the fine new tissue that was trying to form now becomes scar tissue instead of the fine fistula that makes up the piercing tissue.
Can you still keep your navel piercing ring in even if its infected and its bein treated?
Well the jewellery should still be in the piercing, you never remove jewellery from an infected piercing unless it's the jewellery that caused the issue in the first place. Mall bought jewellery is junk and will cause reactions that will often look like and infection. Make sure you have the original jewellery in the piercing and leave it in until your situation has improved.
When your in your third trimester of pregnancy and you remove your navel piercing how long will it take to close?
Well chances are good that the piercing may not close, it depends on how long you had the piercing before the jewellery is removed. Most of my clients get the jewellery replaced with a PTFE barbell which is ultra flexible made of surgical Teflon they manage to keep the piercing right through to delivery with no problems. If you have had the piercing for over a year, chances are good the piercing wont closed but it will shrink without jewellery in the piercing. You can get the jewellery put back in by seeing your piercer and having them use an insertion taper to reinsert the jewellery.
How many hours till it closes up-belly ring?
Your question isn't very clear, but I will give it a shot. The time it takes for a navel piercing to close or "heal up" depends on how long you have had the piercing. The longer the piercing has been in place with jewellery, the longer it will take for the piercing to close with the jewellery removed. Generally if you have had the piercing with jewellery over a year the piercing can take several months to shrink down to the point where you can't put jewellery into the piercing any longer. If you have only had the piercing for a few months then it can take a few weeks for the piercing to close.
