One of the best things that you can use is called Dettol Soap which is an antiseptic grade soap, much like Green Soap but it quite a bit more effective than the latter and it keeps the stencil on there nice and clean throughout the tattoo. Some people cut their solution with a little bit of distilled water, but a lot of artists just use it straight. Not cutting the solution can sometimes make the residual stencil hard to wipe off entirely even after the tattoo is done, so you may want to use a mixed solution until you get the feel for it. Other than Dettol, you can use green soap, and even just regular distilled water to apply the stencil, but it is important to note that if you just use distilled water that the stencil will wipe away rather easily, so you must take care when tattooing.
The stencil was broken.
Stencil painting is when you use a stencil to paint a pattern or picture onto something. The stencil makes it very detailed and exact. This technique is often used on walls. A stencil paint brush is usually round and short and stubby. Mostly you have a stencil shape and instead of the usual brush strokes of painting, you use a short stabbing motion with your brush. If you have a lot of paint on your brush, you make a darker pattern than if you have less on it.
"I don't know how to use the word 'stencil' in a sentence."
Almost any tattoo shop will draw up a design for you and make a stencil. Some artists will draw the tattoo design on with a pen instead. You as a client don't need to provide a stencil.
They use a different color of dirt to make the logo stand out.
No, he definitely does not!!

Granite Rock
I use stencils to write out posters.
You would take the stencil (I'm assuming it's paper with a design on it) and tape it to your pumpkin. Then using a pin, poke dots along the lines of the design. Remove the paper and connect the dots! Voila, a beautiful pumpkin! But be sure to save the stencil paper to use as a reference!
What You Will Need To Stencil* A flat, circular brush or a sponge brush * A stencil or stencils * Paint * Painters tape * A dabbing plateHow to Stencil# Find the best placement for your stencil. To make sure it is straight, use a mini level. # Once you like where your stencil is, tape it up with painters tape. Make sure the stencil is perfectly flat against the surface before you tape it up. If the stencil does not lay taught against the surface of your wall, furniture or cabinet, paint will leak * http://www.askthedecorator.com/Stencil.shtml
Of the two...green soap. But I use neither for stencil purposes, as I'm sure that's what you are asking this for. Instead, it is better to use a stencil solution. A good solution will keep the stencil on the skin for the duration of the whole tattoo, even if you are constantly wiping (which really you should dab the puddle rather than wipe). Find and buy an antiseptic disenfectant called Dettoll, it is sold in most drug stores and pharmacies, and mix 1 part of Dettol to 7 parts equal distilled water. Voila! Great and easy solution.
