If its new, give it about a week for the discoloration to disappear. Bruising can be normal especially if clamps were used. If its older, it could be rejecting or even infected. Go to your piercer to figure it out. Don't take the jewelry out. If its infected, you'll need the piercing to stay open so that it can drain.
