Getting and industrial piercing is a very invasive procedure and can tax your system quite a bit. Standard policy in professional body piercing studios is to provide no more that 3 piercings to one person in one sitting for safety reasons. So I would recommend you get your industrial done in one sitting and get the lobes done a few days later just to be on the safe side.
The sensation is a bit more intense because you are getting two piercings in one sitting and it's done with a needle not a gun. so it should be not too bad about the same as the cartilage piercing.
No, not a chance. Industrial piercings are not simple and they have to be done by a professional body piercer with a sterile, hollow needle. If I'm being completely honest, no piercing should be done at Claires or any other place in which they use a gun. Theyre very unsanitary and the mechanism of the piercing can be harmful. If you want any kind of piercing, even if it's just lobes, I suggest going to a professional piercer.
just don't think about it too much! the more you think about it, the more you'll freak yourself out. its not as bad as you think its going to be! i did mine myself....if i can shove a needle through my ear and come out fine then I'm sure that getting it done proffesionally isn't anything to worry about. just go and do it!
Claire's don't perform piercings, they use guns which are dangerous and unclean. Guns are currently only legal for use on ear lobes (even then many people are seeking to have them banned), they can't be used on the cartilage because they can shatter the cartilage. If you want a piercing GO TO A PROFESSIONAL STUDIO and get your piercing done by a professional who uses correct tools.
the tragus piercing is done on cartilage and if you know you form keloids you should avoid cartilage piercings because they have a high chance of forming keloids
oh my gosh no! if anything, it hurts less. just don't freak yourself out. it's really nothing. oh, and you should think about getting your cartilage pierced! i personally think getting mine done hurt less than getting my lobes pierced! good luck! :)
If the piercing was done with a piercing gun then that should answer the question.
Its not bad to get your ear pierced with a gun, all my mates have got it done and some adults i know have got it done and they have had it done since they wer young and they got it done with a gun and there is nothing wrong with it! In most countries the use of piercing guns for anything other than ear lobes is a direct violation of health regulations. Piercing guns are not designed nor intended to pierce the cartilage because due to the manner in which the piercing stud tears the skin and punctures the cartilage it doesn't allow room for the skin to heal around the punctured cartilage, leaving the cartilage available for infiltration by bacteria and infection.
Industrials are done at 14g not 16g. The piercing should be done with a 12g needle and 14g jewellery.
There is not anything that can be done to reduce the cartilage growth in the nose. Surgery can remove or move the cartilage, but it cannot be made smaller.
When you get the piercing done it might, and also if you manage to get it infected or rip it off your ear. But otherwise you should be fine.
I got mine done at my local tattoo shop for £40. They basically just doubled what any other cartilage piercing cost because she had to use 2 of everything but the bar.
