yes, it is it can cause damage to your hair. :)
No it is not do not try it, it could hurt you. ***** actually i beg to differ, if you have a wet and dry hair straightener then it is safe and the one that i have seen is very good. The only time you can use a staightener iron on your hair when it is wet is if the Straightener itself is made to straighten while wet. Besides that you can hurt yourself and or break your straightener in the process.
No, it can damage your hair.
Wait until its 75% dry because if you do try it wet, then your hair wont be as straight...
If you straighten your hair with a flat iron on wet hair without using a wet/dry setting, it can cause damage to your hair. Wet hair is more vulnerable to heat damage because the water in the hair can turn into steam, causing bubbles to form in the hair shaft and potentially lead to breakage. It's best to dry your hair completely before using a flat iron to prevent damage.
it depends on your hair straightener, some hair straightener can straighten your hair even if its wet.it fizzes because the water in your damp hair is evaporating.if you have a regular hair striaightener i suggest you dry your hair first then straighten it.
If you just colored your hair, it's fine, if you straighten with a flat iron, don't thermal straighten it.If you bleached, do not straighten your hair. Try not to do this too often anyway as flat iron's are worse for your hair than perming it!I am a licensed cosmotologist.
Typically when it's dry, however, there are some straighteners that you can use on wet hair to go "wet-to-dry" .I recommend reading the instructions that came with the straightener.
A dryer is used when the hair is wet to dry and style hair. A straightener is used to straighten dry hair.
It is safe to straighten your hair as long as it's not horribly damaged to begin with. You shouldn't have your straightener heat too high and shouldn't leave it on your hair too long in one sitting, there is also a product you can put on your hair to help with the heat process.
I straighten my hair every day for school. So I straighten my hair 5 days a week. It's not great for your hair, but there are2 ways you can cut down the damage.1.) Use some kind of heat hair protector before you use ANY heat. Heat hair protectors come in balms and sprays.2.) Don't straighten your hair while it's wet, unless you have a special straightener for wet hair.
you can wet it with water and comb it maybe it will go down --melissa
