Make-up itself isn't bad for the delicate eye area skin. It can, however, make your eyes look older or tired b/c it's such thin skin. Most women can get away w/going around the undereye area. If you feel you MUST use foundation there (b/c of dark circles, scars, etc.), keep the following tips in mind. 1.) Use as little as possible. The thicker it is, the more likely to settle in fine lines & make your eyes look older/tired. 2.) Also, as a general rule, be sure you're using a foundation that is non-comedogenic (a fancy term for "doesn't clog your pores"). 3.) MOST IMPORTANTLY: use an under eye cream that is specially designed for that area - not an all over face moisturizer. The deal is, the eye area skin IS the most delicate skin on your face. It also is lacking the support structure of collagen underneath. So, using a good eye cream is crucial to protecting this skin & fighting the signs of aging. Hope this helps!
