If you're trying to grow your hair out, you actually shouldn't wear weaves because they damage hair. It's called traction alopecia and is seen a lot in women who wear sew in weaves while trying to grow their hair. It can even make you lose some hair.
They bleach their hair, and then dye it that color also they use extensions and sew-in weaves.

depending on how you put the hair in and take it out. if done correctly weaves can be a protective style for your natural hair . my hair grows much faster while i have a sew-in weave do to my hair being in braids and im not touching my hair as much
Hair weaves and extensions are typically made from East Indian hair.
Not typically since sew-in weaves are sewn into horizontal or spiraled cornrows, but if you go to a talented stylist who knows what he or she is doing, it is possible to have your tracks sewn in such a way that allows you to wear your hair half up & half down, in a high ponytail, or bun.
Indian Hair
I don't believe so, but that's my oppinnon. Also I think can be a pit of pain getting them in because it pulls the hair also with the hair extentions but that's what I hear. Never had the experience and I don't think I would it.
