of course! but it will close
About 10-15 minutes
It depends on how long you have the piercing/ how healed it is. If you have it for longer than a year and it is all healed, it will usually stay open for awhile. Your tragus is just like the cartilage on the outer rim of your ear.
Cleaning a new piercing with the cleanser/antiseptic given to you without the earring in it will actually close it rather quickly. If the piercing is already healed leaving the earring out for a long time will close it though usually (especially on ears) a mark will be left and still appear as if it were pierced
It takes as long as it takes once a piercing has healed it depends on haow long you leave the jewellery out, if you are done with the piercing it can take a few days to several weeks for the piercing to actually close once it's a seasoned piercing (seasoned being over a year old).
No way to speed that up really. Keep it dry and disinfected and out of the sun until it's healed.
Not unless you want to loose the piercing you paid good money for. Look if you take the jewellery out it will close and what is the point in taking it out, it isn't healed yet and wont be for another 6 to 8 weeks.
This is subjective to the area of the piercing. If it is trans urethral, in the instance of a PA or an apadravya, than it will never fully close. It could be anywhere from a day to a few...or in some instances a week or so if it is well and truly healed.
Most piercings that are fresh will close up within a matter of an hour to a few hours of the jewelry being out, and even a well healed piercing will close up after a few days of no jewelry being worn...unless the piercing is stretched, but even then, you have at most two to three days of wearing nothing before it begins to shrink.
i would definetly not recommend you take out a fresh piercing. it's not fully healed, can close easy,or can be irritated. you should just get it done during summer time or when your sports are over with.
Well that was a foolish thing to do when the piercing is not healed. The piercing every piercing is never considered healed until it's a year old, even at six weeks it's a new piercing and will close quickly if left out for longer then a few minutes. Don't force the jewellery through the piercing you will damage the piercing. Go see a local body piercer and have them put it back in with and insertion taper so the tissue will be eased open and not torn by force.
There is no such type of piercing but there is clear body jewelry, also called retainers. Retainers are always good to use if you don't want a piercing to close up but also not show. When getting a new piercing the piercer cannot put that material in the piercing because its not the right type of material for the piercing to heal around. They will use 316LVM steel jewelry but once the piercing is healed you can put a retainer in. Hope that answers the question.
