I think they were famous when girls found out about My American Girl, where you can customize your very own. They soon saw how they had soft hair and they were interesting to play with, now Im only 11 so, I love playing with her and especially love to comb her hair! <3
Can you curl a American girl dolls hair?
Im not completely sure what that is but im guessing it is a doll for little girls and if that is correct, no, you cannot curl its hair. It will fall out and damage the curlers. (a different user's answer) yes, but not with a hot curler. You have to put it in curlers and leave it for a day.
Can you wash dolls hair?
Yes you can. Me and my cousin did it to barbie dolls and after it dried, it was soft, shiny, and had the same texture it did before,:)
Are your generation dolls the same size as American girl dolls?

Yes, but only a small amount with a spray bottle. If you do so, be sure to cover the soft part of your doll with a towel. However, in emergency purposes, such as if your American Girl gets dirt or mud in her hair, you may gently wash the American Girl's hair. If you choose to do this, you must not get the American Girl's body wet. It can ruin the American Girl Doll if her body gets wet.

How do you make your barbies hair soft and silky?
Wet the dolls hair, apply a good conditioner and be sure to evenly spread it out all over in her hair Leave the conditioner in her hair for about 3 minutes, rinse her hair with cool or lukewarm water and repeat this process. Gently dry her hair with a towel leaving it a little damp or wet, comb through her hair with a comb for a minute or so. To your barbies damp hair apply a generous amount of body lotion,spread the lotion all over her hair Leave body lotion on her hair for 8-10 hours,after that rinse her hair with mild lukewarm water and gently dry the dolls hair with a towel, comb the dolls hair. Your barbie will have very soft and silky hair!!!!!!!

You could brush it with a soft newborn baby hair brush to keep it knot free but don't wash it because that might damage it.
