I wouldn't think they use real hair. They probably use the same kind of hair thing that Barbie dolls have.
well you can use loreal's hi color hilights in "red" to get a bright color and thats what most people use, but then again, you can also make your own hair dye with conditioner and any semi permanent hair dye. Hope this helps!!

If you want to become blonde you have to dye your hair or bleach it. Sorry there is no other way. Bleach is very bad for your hair, so it is much better to dye. If you want your hair look good, you have to look after them. I was dying my hair with bleach about two years ago, but now I found another way of doing it without damaging my hair and I am still blond. It took me about 1 year to find the right color and finally I got what I want. I think the Loreal company is the best, as it has very wide range for blond colors. I am using Loreal 900s with 9% peroxide. There are 3%, 6% , 9% and 12 % peroxide. You have to choose the right for yourself, as every hair reacts different. More % in the peroxide more blonder you become, but be careful!! As if you take too strong peroxide, you can burn your hair. There are other Loreal colors, which I think are great!!!! It is all depends on what you want. I advise you at first to go to the hairdresser who works with Loreal colors. Ask questions and then once you learn you can do what you feel is right for you!!!! ;-)
