I do it all the time!!! here's how you do it:
1.) extend index finger (or whatever finger is your favorite, I just personally think the index finger is ideal for sniffing.) to its full length.
2.) Insert said finger (**NOTE**...using a thumb is NOT a recommended digit for belly button sniffing, as its larger circumference can leave you in a very "Tight" spot, which can be very awkward explaining to the e.r nurse) into your belly button.
3.) Turn finger in a clock-wise (or counter clockwise if you prefer) motion.
4.) Remove said finger from your bellybutton. (If at this point you have chosen to use your thumb, you are most likely going to have to repeat step 3 over and over to accomplish step 4)
5.) place finger in front of nostril. which nostril is of no consequence as it all goes down the same tube.
6.) Inhale deeply.
7.) Enjoy!
