You do not have to be a hair Stylist to own a Salon. The salon must be ran and managed by a license Stylist as pertaining to performing all of the services that offered in your salon.
You are allowed to own that business and rent and hire professionals to run that business for you.
However if you do not have a Cosmetology license you cannot perform any services on anyone that walks through that door.
This differs greatly in each state.
