It really depends. You can have it short and spiky or just short an a basic hair-cut. It also might look good a bit longer but not shoulder length, and as in a bit of a side-fringe. Its up to what you want and what you fell comfortable with. I wouldn't have it longer than shoulder length as that doesn't look that nice.
