Yes it can, I was in an accident 2 weeks ago and have two lacerations on my upper lip, one is really bad and it was affecting how I talked and ate. Massage the scar multiple times a day, whenever you think about, and put some cocoa butter or aloe on it. My scars have already started to soften up.
