I didn't realize it was posting the question, I thought it was searching the database.
I was driving along and my 98 Chevy Tahoe just quite. I assume it is the fuel pump and was looking for related discussions.
lack of fuel
check ignition
put gas in it!
It could be because its running out of battery
you can but it wont stay running if the battery is dead
dirty carb bowl or water in the carb
There is a magnetic switch in the steering lock/ key switch. If it is weak it will do that. If it dose leave the key on for 10 min. The light will quit blinking, turn key off and start motor. This is a dealer fix. Parts are up ward of $700. I just wait the 10 and go on my way
Turn the key on,DO NOT try to start wait 3 seconds are until you hear the pump quite then turn the key off and wait 1 minute then turn key back on again until you hear the pump quit again. Repeat these steps about 4 times. Then start the engine. If you can't here the fuel pump running then the fuel pump may have went out.
No it wont but I am looking for a 95 tahoe tranny
well you bloddy air head, because it needs gas to start!
Call the person who repaired the car and tell them what is going on. But what you write above makes no sense. You say, "(wont turn over) (wants to start) by (wont stay running)" If it won't turn over, how does it want to start, and how can it be running in the first place? Did they replace the fuel filter. If not, they should have.
Maybe the fuel injectors got clogged.
