Change the fuel filter and have the cat convertor checked out
Accelerate - gravity will always try to pull the car downhill.
Is it bogging down? if thats what your referring to, then maybe try a fuel pump if yoir car has one.
Listening to your car is the smartest thing you can do. You will learn to notice the increased noise your car makes when you accelerate. When you hear the engine working hard or straining do what you can to avoid that sound. Don't try to speed up quickly when the light changes and avoid situations where you have to gain speed quickly. Gaining speed gradually and smoothly will save you the most fuel.
Sounds like it could be a dirty fuel filter, try taking it off and cleaning it.
There are several things that can cause your car to shut off when you try to accelerate. The most common cause is a bad fuel pump.
Probably the fan belt. Try to tighten it. If that doesn't work, replace it. (Yes, there are chemical sprays you might try, but they will wear off and the problem will be back.)
Try to accelerate slowly when leaving the stop light.
Pretty much anything that is rotating has a chance.
To accelerate means to increase in speed or level of activity.
I recently had a similar problem. The problem was my catalytic converter was clogged. As you apply more gas or throttle the debris is pushed back in the converter and clogs the exhaust. You release the throttle the pressure is lessened and the debris settles. Its one possible problem.
you will have little or no fuel pressure, so, the car will idle but cuts out when you try to accelerate or just won't crank up.hope this helps.
