The 727/tourque flyte 8 transmissions came with several bell-housings for different applications including AMC, Dodge various engines, Jaguar engines and several others.
The real question is what car is the transmission from?
any year 727 should bolt to the 401 as the bolt pattern is the same on all 727's.
the 727 should bolt up to the 340. A 727 transmission from a slant 6 will not bolt up to a 340. Find one off of a 273,318, 340 or 360.
mopar 361, 383, 413, 426, 440, or the 426 hemi.
No. The bolt patterns are different. You will need a transmission (904 or 727) from a small block chrysler. Also, the flexplate and or torque convertors are balanced according to the specific engine used.
Yes it will. Up to the year 2000, All Chevy transmissions have the same bolt patteren. Big and small blocks, even the 6 cylinders and the 4 cylinders. It does not matter. Except a 727 is a Chrysler/dodge transmission.
It may bolt to the block, but the plugs, driveshafts, etc will not fit.It may bolt to the block, but the plugs, driveshafts, etc will not fit.
