Pistons are the items driven "down" by the combustion in an engine. They are pinned to a connecting rod which is, in turn, bolted onto the crankshaft. This assembly transfers the power from the combustion to the crankshaft which then transfers it to the rest of the drive train. Use the link and check out the pictures and the moving diagram. If a picture was ever woth a thousand words, these ones are.
it depends. if the car isn't moving, but the engine is still on, then yes the pistons are moving. if the engine is off, and the car isn't moving, then the pistons are still.
It had a turbine engine, not a motor with pistons.
The Detroit Pistons, if you meant to say car part.
A car
The pistons are running in the cylinders of the engine, so when the rpm of the engine rises, the pistons quickley build up speed. It is this rapid acceleration of the pistons that casue the car to shake.
jesses car is a hybrid that shuts off extra pistons when itβs not accelerating- apex
Depends on how what type of engine it has. 4-cylinder = 4 pistons (inline) V6 = 6 pistons (arranged in a V-shape, thus the name V) V8 = 8 pistons
Bill says hi
4 cylinder means that the engine has 4 pistons it means it has 4 pistons. the number of pistons can tell you how much speed and how much power
Pistons are a major part of the engine and if one goes bad there ain't no fixing a piston, replacement is necessary.
Simplified, a V6 engine is an engine with 6 pistons. A V4 engine is an engine with 4 pistons. (The more pistons the more horse power and the more gas you go through) -a 22 yr old girl
You have hydrogen heat it up it make the pistons move and the car moves.
