No but to me it's just easier
sounds like you have broken some teeth on the fly wheel gear.Hopefully it on the starter itself which is easier to replace.
On front wheel drive vehicles it is easier and quicker to remove the trans and engine as one unit. then you can separate them if you wish
The Neutral safety switch is located on the back of the automatic transmission. it is quite simple to replace. It is probably easier to replace from under the vehicle, but it is accessable from the top if your vehicle is not equipped with ABS.
it is easier just to pule the motor that to pule the transmission when you get it out the clutch is right there
You are better taking off the engine with the transmission together, I have a 93' Vigor and changed the transmission and it pretty hard, there many bolts that are hard to get; if you need to changed your engine, it will be much easier taking the transmission off while the engine is off the vehicle..
Just replace the whole wheel cylinder. It's just as cheap and easier than rebuilding them.
they both come out together through the top much easier it is possible but it is easyer to pull them both out.
If the truck is a 4 wheel drive it would be easier to remove the engine to replace the flywheel. If the truck is a 2 wheel drive removing the transmission and bell housing is the way to go.
If it's an automatic transmission it can stay in the car. Simply unbolt the torque converter from the flywheel and the trans from the engine. If it's a manual trans it's not that simple. You don't have enough room to slide the engine forward from the input shaft on the trans. It's easier to pull them both together.
The fork replacement could depend on which manual transmission is in the truck. The top has to be removed from the transmission. If the floor center can be removed with enough room to get the top off then it can be done. With carpet and seat removal it is often easier to remove the transmission.
