Your oil pressure sending unit is bad or the oil pump is bad. I would check the sending unit first
Replace oil sending unit with a manual gauge
You need to remove the oil sending unit and install a oil pressure gage in it's place then start engine and read gage. Iwould tell you were the sending unit is but you did not say what you are working on. If you checked the pressure with the sending unit in the car, it is possible the sending unit itself may be bad!
Where is the oil sending unit on a 2.8
if it POURS out, check drain plug, oil filter and oil pressure sending unit
The oil sending unit is located next to the oil filter...
The oil pressure could be dropping. Or, the sending unit could be going bad or have loose wiring. Check the wiring and the sending unit. It will take an oil pressure gauge to check that the pressure is correct.
Yes but check the oil level often until you get it fixed.
check your dip stick to see if your engine oil is too low. also check oil sending unit
If check gauges is lit and the oil press gauge is low, you have low oil pressure or a failed oil pressure sending unit.If check gauges is lit and the oil press gauge is low, you have low oil pressure or a failed oil pressure sending unit.
