If ignition problems still persist after replacing the neutral safety switch on a 1995 Chevy S10 check the starter. A broken starter will result in a car which will not be able to turn over the engine.
We need more info. Need to know the symptoms. Need to know what it does and does not do.
Weak battery Bad starter Loose or corroded battery cables Bad neutral switch
You have a bad starter solenoid or for some reason starter is still not getting enough current-which could be the bat or connections are corroded etc. Check bat voltage and connections (all) to starter.
Sometimes if the starter is worn out, give it a good whack with a hammer. It may start for you one more time. It's worth a try. If it does start after a love tap you now know the starter is tired, replace it.
Either your starter solenoid, if not check the neutral safety or clutch safety switch.
my battery is still on after changing battery and altnator
In some later model Sebrings there is a fuse in the engine compartment fuse box that controls the starter. If it blows you have a loose connection on the starter so replacing the fuse will not solve the problem. You need to tighten down the connector bolt.
new battery, altnator, starter, changed all fluids and still not start. but it will turn over.acts like its not getting spark or maybe fuel but i hear the fuel pump kick on but still nothing. and also just replaced the ecm computer module too and still nothing need help asap thanks.
Check wiring at starter Check battery cables for looseness or corrosion "Rap" starter with a hammer to see if brushes are stuck and need replacing Engine seized?
Find an ammeter to find out what the starter is pulling. If the starter is pulling too much current, you probably need to replace the starter, but don't just go off replacing parts until you test them. Apparantly that plan didn't work to well for you when you replaced the battery and alternator. Always test first!
Chech the main fusable links under the hood. Mine did the same thing and after replacing a $300.00 starter and hours of frustration I found a bad fuse under the hood. The fuses should be on the back fire wall on the passenger side. Check it out. Jason
