Usually, this means that there's a leak in the cooling system somewhere. It could be a split hose, a leaking radiator or a perished gasket. I advise having a thorough look around the car's engine to see if there's evidence of leakage- dripping water, or chalk-like stains running down from a joint in the structure. If you can't find the leak spot (or if, having done so, you can't fix the problem yourself) take it to your nearest service garage for attention.
Piston rings are worn.
No, if anything it would get cooler from having too much. -You have a different problem, possibly a coolant leak.
It uses too much fuel. And that damages our environment. It uses too much space: parking at home, parking at the shop or store, parking at work, roads.
This is called the Temperature light or gauge
yes it is!
In a Chevy Lumina, low coolant means that the car needs more anti-freeze/coolant added. This is needed to keep the engine from getting too hot
Check the oil for coolant ot the coolant for oil. It will be a yellowish colored crud. The car will probably overheat too.
i put to much coolant in my serge tank. I have a very sm. leak near the top of the radiator when i stop my car it really comes out. but my temperature gage does not read too hot. i filled the serge tank almost to the top. now it's kind of empty. I'm not adding any more coolant unless my car overheats
Because the coolant is starting to age and is picking up contaminants. This is normal, BUT, you want to ensure the coolant is replaced before too much longer.I rather change coolant too soon / early than too late.
i believe you have too much coolant/water in the reservoir tank fill it up only to the full line
I Did this when I was little too, all you do is w= f(d)The answer is 600J
Sometimes if you fill the coolant container (the white plastic container on the left side of the engine) with too much coolant , then run the car hard and park it, some coolant may be sent out the overflow tube due to the heated fluid. If no other symptom shows and the car seems normal then that is what is wrong. A lot of cars do this if the fluid level is filled right to the top. Recommendation, fill the coolant to about an inch or two of the top and not all the way to the top.
