maf usially stands for mass air flow sensor
That car does not use a maf sensor.
Nope
in your car
TPS sensor or maf. I seafoamed my entire car seemed to do the trick
catalysts are not fixable... you replace it... but first make sure there is no more simple (and cheaper) solution... if your car stinks i would check the O2 sensors, MAF, test for fuel pressure issues (bad fuel pump - you have 2 of them; one goes bad and car smells like rotten eggs) or the fuel-air-ratio in the ECM is right... especially if a new MAF was installed...
MAF or Mass Airflow cleaners are used to cleane car engine parts which play an effective role in providing you with a good MPG (miles per Gallon). You can buy MAF cleaners from leading superstore chains, such as Wallmart.
Bad o2 or maf sensor
Yes it would
Replace your MAF sensor. The MAF sensor provides part of the air fuel mixture information. When they fail, they throw off your mixture. Installing a new MAF will make your car run like its supposed to. Unplugging it is only good to get you home.
Hesitation fixRemove air inlet hose from air filter housing to MAF sensor. Spray carb cleaner into MAF sensor (with car off) and work flap slowly and wipe inside of MAF sensor with lint free cloth. Also check hose at MAF sensor for cracks.
On my 2000 Grand Prix 3.8L the symptoms were "when warmed up a little the engine would idle up and down and then stall out, I could not restart the engine until cold" I unplugged the MAF sensor and car would run without stalling. Try this method to test yours.
