You have to remove the fuse for the alarm. You should purchase or consult a manual for your car to determine the location of this fuse. For me, it was located very far up under the dash. It is possible. : ) Good luck. NOTE: if you are talking about shutting it off if you trip the alarm by opening the door or something, all you do is open the rear hatch.
