The main relay box on a 1988 Subaru GL Turbo wagon is under the passenger side of the car, in front of the rear tire. The main fuse box is located on the driver's side, under the dashboard.
On top of the front of the tranmission slightly to the driver's side. Just follow the battery cables. They take you right to it.
It is important to know the type of engine in a car. The 1988 Subaru GL-10 does in fact have an interference engine.Ê
no they are not no they are not
No. The halfshafts in an ea81's (80-84) and ea82's are larger. If your XT is turbo you must use an axle from another turbo subaru between 85-89 so xt (turbo), gl10(turbo) and RX. dosent matter from which because all the turbo ea82's are almost identical. However, if your XT is non turbo, it will take any axle from 85-89 gl,dl,gl10(non turbo) and brat. Heres a great Subaru site for older generation Subarus.... www.ultimatesubaru.org
there is no turn signal flasher or relay on old subaru, its a combination switch, but there is a fuse, in the fuse box under the dash, the fuse isn't mark well, but says; BACK TURN (4WD-AT) if you have a gl-10 this fuse also controls power windows, i had this same issue where my turn signals and my power windows stopped working (but my hazards still worked) and changing this fuse fixed all my issues
the last time i changed the spark pluges in my 86 subaru gl wagon, i took the engine out. seriously, it needed a clutch at the time.
Honestly? At the junkyard, or on eBay.
