With water.
Best place is in one of the cylinder heads, by the spark plugs. Or, the intake manifold, near the thermostat housing.
Most intake manifolds have a couple of pipe plugs in them. Put the sender in one that isn't needed for anything else.
follow the top radiator hose to the engine block. the temperature SENSOR has two wires. The temperature SENDER has one wire
The pressure sender is on the rear of the block, on the top...mounted on an "L" tube near and kindoff under the distributor. The oil temp sensor is on the side of the block, I forget exactly where...sorry. There is also a water temp sensor and a detonation sensor on the sode of the block....
Who told you you have a bad "water seal"? Are they referring to the plugs in the side of the engine block? If so, knock the out with a hammer and screwdriver. Use install tool to reseat the new ones. If they are referring to a water pump, it is just unbolt old, clean connection, install new.
Should be on the top of the block near the water pump. I think it is a two wire pair that screws into the block.
how hard is it to replace a water pump on a 1998 chevy venture van?
NO it will not work.
Cracked block?
About 2 gallons.
There are two schools of thought here. Basically, for racing\, the cylinder head, for street use, in the intake, near the thermostat housing, or, the water pump.
