Right above the oil filter.
It goes to the temp gauge which is usually screwed in the head between the manifold on the drivers side, or into the thermost housing on the intake manifold.
Your oil temperature gauge will connect to the oil pressure sensor. The water temperature gauge will hook up to the water temperature sensor. The oil pressure sensor will be on the left-hand side of the engine and the water temperature sensor will be on the front of the engine.
Create a sharp coat hanger to use it in pressing through the rubber where the electrical goes. ÊPassÊthe temperature gauge through the fire wall. Wrap the end of the gauge in a electrical tape. Install the temperature gauge adapter.
it is either a temperature sensor just for the gauge or possibly a fuse, i recommend going to your local auto parts store and have them hook up their diagnostic computer to tell you the problem. its usually free!

The fuel level gauge is in the tank
You may have a faulty oil pressure sending unit. remove the sensor and hook a pressure gauge up to it and get the gauge in a position the you can see it while driving. Get it up on the thruway and see if it is in spec. If you don't address this asap, there is potential to wipe out the motor.
