∙ 17y agoI have just came up on this same problem with my 2000 Kia. Turns out it was the Ignition switch. $160.00 to have it replaced.
Try diagnosing the starter
The sensor may be defective/broken. I would have that checked or replaced.
I had that problem and the hazard light switch was bad so when it was replaced the horn worked just fine.
If it isn't starting you have another problem.
Most starting problems are checked by starting with ethier fuel, spark, or battery.
Perhaps starter is weak. Have it tested for load and drag
Could be a problem with the wiring from the computer to the sensor.
If the car vibrates when the brakes are applied, it could be a sign that the brakes or rotors need to be checked or replaced. When a problem like this occurs, it is best to get it checked out as soon as possible to avoid worsening the problem.
