Due to the difficulty in tracking a small furry mammal with radar equipment, I don't know if there's a definitive answer.

However, I've seen a hamster scamper across a 24-inch aquarium in about 3/4 of a second flat. So doing a calculation: 24 inches per 3/4 of a second is 115,200 inches per hour = 1.82 miles per hour, based on my experience and rough estimation.

According to the Hamsterberg Uncertainty Principle, the more one knows about the position of a hamster, the less can be known about the hamster's velocity - and the reverse applies, too. So, if the hamster can be located, that means its speed is impossible to define. The hamster must therefore first get lost before its speed can be ascertained.
