I drove this route many times, I'm from Ottawa area and live in TB...it's more than just distance. Straight through, doing the speed limit more or less, you're looking at 16-20 hours. That's with a few quick gas stops (make sure you stay filled up, gas stations can be few and far between at points). And if it's winter, even longer, the road is windy and winds really whip up along the Wawa to Thunder Bay stretch, watch out for moose and deer. I've seen many cars abandoned on the side of the road in whiteouts. We usually stay in Sudbury midway through, that gives daylight for the northern bit...good luck!
