OEM means original equipment manufacturer. The letters OEM on products may mean that a replacement part made by the manufacturer may have replaced an original part. OEM may also refer to a company that purchases another companies product and then distributes it under their own name. The use of the letters OEM may be confusing because of the two differences between these meanings.

OEM means Original Equipment Manufacturer. Canon OEM would mean that the parts would be specifically made by Canon and not by a third party manufacturer.
