∙ 19y agoFirst, make sure that you have the entire deal written down. It will not be an enforceable contract if you don't. You also need to make sure that you get a lien release from the seller or finance company. If you are dealing with a dishonest person, it would be easy for you to get screwed here, and hard to do anything about it. I don't know how much it would cost, but you might consider calling a lawyer in the seller's town and having them handle the transaction. Then you are covered, because if the lawyer messes up you can go after him/her.

The taxation will come when you register the boat.
Yes, when you transfer the vehicle to your name, you will pay the taxes in the state you register the vehicle in.
Yes. You will pay them when you register the car at the DMV. Pretty lame. Double taxation.
There is no song called "Private Party". However, there is a song called "Party for Two" by Shania Twain, which has the words "private party" in the lyrics.
Yes! the reason is because taxes have to be assessed for the value of the vehicle for registration purposes
Private Party was created on 1990-08-14.
Private Beach Party was created in 1985.
I think the answer is yes. Check out the sales tax section here: http://www.800helpfla.com/usedcar_text.html
NO. But you will pay sales tax when you tag and transfer title. Based on the value of car... not the actual sales price
Some one is having a party and it is private = Fiesta privada As in a private person (Party of the first part...) = Parte privada
Neither. The government can not protect anyone. In fact the FBI building is still closed to tours in Washington DC because the FBI can't protect it's own building. The only protection you have is yourself, and both parties want to reduce your right to protect yourself. The Democratic party has a long history of taking firearms away from law abiding citizens, but can not take guns away from criminals.
