In the morning when the car is cold. open the radiator cap. If the antifreeze is not green or orange ... what ever color it was when new... if the liquid is dark or oily or brown... odds are you have a valve cover gasket leak... buy LUCAS engine oils... one of them is made to try to give extra life to old engines with minor leaks.... check for ENGINE BLOCK STOP LEAK products... but to be honest, once the valve cover gaskets go... it may be cheaper and better to just replace the engine with one from a good junk yard that will start it for you.......... you may even get a good deal with someone there to replace the engine for you... just ask.......................
