Having to add collant & coolant leaking from the hose.
If a vehicle is loosing coolant then there is a leak. If no leak is visible then the coolant could be leaking into the oil, or leaking into a cylinder and being blown out through the exhaust.
Coolant leaking into any cylinder is a clear indication that the head gasket has blown.
Blue smoke means oil is leaking into the cylinder. White smoke means water is leaking into it. If there are white "globs" in you oil or there's oil in your coolant, that's a good place to start for all four of these symptoms.
Is it leaking from the side by the coolant reservoir?
Intake manifold is leaking, or worse, cracked cylinder most likely tho, the intake manifold.
Various possibilities including thermostat, low coolant, weak coolant, cylinder head gasket, cylinder head. could aso be your electric fan not working leaking heater core!
Leaking heater core
white smoke out tailpipe.............coolant in engine oil looks like a chocolate milkshake
It could, if enough coolant leaks into the cylinder to hydraulicaly lock it.
What other symptoms besides leaking antifreeze? Where do you see the anti-freeze leaking?
I doubt the cylinder wall would be leaking coolant. More likely the head gasket is bad or the head is cracked. When the engine is warmed up and running, a white sweet smelling smoke will come out of the exhaust. The white smoke is a tell-tale sign of an internal coolant leak.
