change the flasher
Most of the time it is due to a loss of 134 refrigerant in the system due to a minor leak. When this happens, the system shuts down the compressor to keep it from being damaged. You can charge this yourself with a reharge kit and a can or two of refrigerant. You will need to jump across the terminals of the low pressure switch to allow the compressor to start cycling. The low pressure switch is located on a line by the AC dryer which is the aluminum looking cylinder on the passenger side. Your 2001 olds alero you press the button for your ac and it doesnt light up and your air conditioning does not work whats wrong?" when you press the button for AC, it is necessery for the function of AC, to turn on the blower with the button on the left side (left of the button for the temperature-change).
If you can't make it to work with your fader and balance adjustment buttons, then it is broken and should be replaced.
It may be on hold, If not, reset it
check out the selinoid on the trunk latch
To reset the low tire pressure light on a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero, you will typically need to locate the reset button, which is usually located under the dashboard or near the steering wheel. With the ignition turned on but the engine off, press and hold the reset button until the light blinks or turns off. This should recalibrate the system and reset the low tire pressure light. If this method does not work, consult the vehicle's manual for specific instructions or consider visiting a mechanic for further assistance.
