Does cars in tropical region like nigeria where one experiences much sunny days needs car thermostats?
All car engines need to run at a minimum temperature or excess
engine wear and poor fuel economy will result.
In tropical climates where in hot weather people remove the
thermostat to improve their chances of not overheating
Instead they would be better to use a 160o F thermostat and
maintain the minimum good temperature for the life and service of
the engine.
