You may have a dragging pulley or clutch plate that locks up when the rpm's increase
The a/c compressor is bad, it's locked up internally; orThe system has been overcharged with refrigerant.
The idler pulley is mounted on a plate that needs to be removed. In order to remove the plate with the idler pulley, you must remove the engine mount to get out the idler pulley. To remove the engine mount, you need to jack-up the engine from the bottom of the oil pan (Note: place a piece of wood plank between the bottom of the oil pan and the jack). The engine timing marks are on the camshaft and crankshaft pulleys, theyll line up with a metal plate just above the top pulley, and the bottom pulley will line up with a knotch which you will find on the pulley itself and just above it.
If the water pump locks up, the impeller shaft is bent, or the water pump pulley is loose yes.
There is a line on both of the pulleys, the top pulley (camshaft) the line should be at the bottom or 6:00 position and the bottom pulley (crankshaft) the line should be on top or in the 12:00 position, both lines should line up with each other.
From the generator over the idle pulley the over the power steering pump pulley then down aound the bottom of the ac compressor, up and over the water pump, around the bottom of the crankshaft then up over the tensioner, ending at the underside of the generator.
generally the clacking sound from a bottom pulley means the bolt is loose allowing it to move,or the pully wheel is worn out and needs replacing the bottom pully wheel is clled harmonic balance this pully is made of 2 parts joined with a tuff rubber this talkes out vibration and allows movement for timing etc have it looked at asap if it comes off, it can fly up and trash radiator , hood, and other parts of vehicle
you need a serpentine belt remover. Its $20 at autozone...The pulley on the bottom left will pull up if you use the tool..its the small pulley on the bottom left...very easy with the right tool....takes three hours without it:] and a lot of cussing...
i dun the timing on my gf punto mk1 ide say if u turn the bottom pully then make it so the piston is at the top of the head and he top pulley is in the 3 oclock position u cant go rong and the bottom pulley there is no need to set it up to the timing as this has a little nib sticking out wich the pulley wheel is held in place by bolts on and the little nib
It means you had better change the locks as fast as you can.
A pulley system with a rope or cable is typically used to raise a flag up a flagpole. The pulley helps to lift the flag efficiently and can be manually operated or automated for larger flagpoles.
