The powersteering reservoir has the filler tube molded on/in it.
The Power steering pump is located underneath where you put the power steering fluid.
NO NO NO!!!! OMG I hope you did not try that already. Break fluid and powersteering fluid have different properties for different pressures, they are not the same thing and if you put break fluid in your power steering system you will destroy your car.
Which fluid are you referring to? Engine oil? Transaxle fluid? Power steering fluid? Coolant? Brake fluid? We need more info, please.
Usually about 9 litres, depending on the engine. (3L dodge engine is 9)
yes but it's not cost effective and not a that much of a noticeable difference in performance
Be very careful NOT to put trans fluid in an engine ! - It goes down the tube that holds trans dipstick, into the transmission.
Its going to tear up the engine
Yes , when the engine is cold the coolant should be up to the cold fill mark
Start out with 4 QTS. Then start engine and shift the transmission through all the gears 2 or 3 times. Then put it back in park and let engine get warm and then check the fluid level. Add fluid as needed a little at a time till full.
It would be best not to put any transmission fluid in the engine. Really!! I'd never of guessed. I guess the clue is 'transmission and fluid' and that the fluid goes in the transmission!! the reason I put the type of engine was IOT assist someone with a realistic answer, I didn't expect for one minute the answer I received, but this is America!!
The power steering fluid reservoir is located right behind the serpentine belt pulley system, just below the windshield on the middle-left hand side, near the back of the engine. Just find your pulley system (on the left side), look about 1.5 feet down and you will see the cap for the power steering fluid reservoir. It is quite hard to find at first.
