Depends on where you want to go in the valley. My guess is around an hour and fifteen minutes, an hour and a half in decent traffic. I used to teach in Oxnard and live in Venice. This was about an hour and a half commute, but I took PCH, which would have made it a longer trip. I'd give yourself about two hours, two and a half if the Big Yellow House restaurant still stands. It's worth a stop.
